关于英国剑桥大学2021年暑期线上短期项目的通知

一、学校简介

剑桥大学是一所世界顶尖的公立研究型大学,坐落于英国剑桥,与牛津大学、伦敦大学学院、帝国理工学院、伦敦政治经济学院同属“G5超级精英大学”。剑桥大学八百多年的校史汇聚了牛顿、霍金、达尔文、图灵、华罗庚等科学巨匠,弥尔顿、拜伦、丁尼生、培根、罗素、维特根斯坦等文哲大师,克伦威尔、尼赫鲁、李光耀等政治人物以及罗伯特·沃波尔(首任)在内的15位英国首相。截止2021年3月,共有120位诺贝尔奖得主(世界第二)、11位菲尔兹奖得主(世界第六)、7位图灵奖得主(世界第八)曾在此学习或工作。

剑桥大学在众多领域拥有崇高学术地位及广泛影响力,被公认为当今世界最顶尖的高等教育机构之一。2020-2021年度位居世界大学学术排名第3、THE世界大学排名第6、QS世界大学排名第7、U.S. News世界大学排名第9。


二、暑期线上短期项目介绍

该项目是英国剑桥大学面向本校学生、国际大学生和职场人士常年开设的暑期短期学习项目,因为疫情原因,2021年暑期改为线上进行。

项目共开设85门课程,每门课为期1周,涉及以下方向:自然科学、文学、哲学、历史、写作、商业、建筑、艺术、气候、心理学等。所有课程均为录播,每门课程也会专门开设每日的线上讨论活动,让参与者分享观点、交流心得、深入探讨感兴趣的话题。具体课程列表请参考附件1。

该项目为期5周,参与者可选修至少1门课,最多可选修3门课。项目参与者还可免费聆听近60场由剑桥大学各领域的专家所做的学术讲座。讲座涉及最新的科研动态和全球议题,包括艺术、文学、电影、考古、历史、研究方法和科学研究等。讲座为录播,时长为30~40分钟,每天会在课程平台发布2~3个学术讲座。讲座题目请参考附件2。

2680元人民币/门课(学校和项目方将为学习成绩优异的学生颁发奖学金)。


七、申请条件

ü 全日制本科生或研究生,专业不限

ü 具有良好的英文基础,能够适应全英文授课
